Clifford greets guests at the Winnetu. Mark Lovewell

Sunday, July 26, 2015

The annual Art Buchwald Possible Dreams auction is the largest fundraiser for Martha's Vineyard Community Services, which provides valuable servies to more than 6,000 people every year. At this year's auction at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort, guests bid on dreams ranging from a VIP visit to a taping of Late Night with Seth Meyers to a trip to Galway Bay, Ireland. The evening was also a tribute to the late Norman Bridwell, creator of Clifford the Big Red Dog and a longtime enthusiastic supporter of community services. Some of the dreams paid tribute to Mr. Bridwell, and Clifford himself was on hand.
