What a bonus month this has been so far. The sun is shining and we are still in shorts. The fishermen are happy with the good weather and calm seas. It doesn’t seem possible that it is almost Halloween and the pumpkin carving should get started. And the sure sign that fall is here is the Dairy Queen is closed for the season.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Elijah Bridgestock and William Jurcyk who celebrated on Oct. 1, Carly Goldberg on Oct. 4, and to Sarah Antolick who celebrates her day today, Oct. 5.

Special anniversary wishes go out to Richard and Cindy Krauss who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Richard arranged a surprise for Cindy. Cindy loves the Wayside Inn in Sudbury. She loves the whole colonial era so it was a perfect place. The weekend was also the time of the Fife and Drum Muster. Richard arranged to have the upstairs of the inn prepared for Cindy’s surprise. There were friends and relatives present. Of course daughters Melanie and Haley were there and helped with the surprise. The Colonial Navy of Fall River even went to the reception room and sang a special song for the couple. Congratulations and here is to 25 more years.
