Writer Holly Nadler of Oak Bluffs is busily scribbling away at a sequel to her book Haunted Island: True Ghost Stories of Martha’s Vineyard, released by Down East Books in 1994, and now going into its ninth printing. The new book will be titled Vineyard Supernatural: True Ghost Stories from America’s Most Haunted Island, expected to go on sale in the fall of 2008.

Ms. Nadler is eager for Vineyarders to contact her with reports of their own experiences with anything even remotely paranormal. Areas of particular interest at this time are the Square Rigger, the Kelley House, Charles Strahan (the man who gave us the Civil War memorial statue), the Ritz Cafe, haunted houses up Island, the Union Chapel, the old stone bank in Vineyard Haven, Island cemeteries, and anything else anyone can possibly reference. Angelic interventions, communications from departed loved ones, supernatural dreams — all are welcome subjects.
