The Shaw Cramer Gallery of contemporary fine crafts and paintings is presenting a Drawing Invitational: A Sense of Line through Dec. 31.

More than 20 Island artists plus off-Island artists will show their drawings, a genre that is close to their hearts but seldom exhibited.

The drawings have been executed in a variety of media including graphite, charcoal, pastel, colored pencils and wire. They are finely resolved artwork, studies, sketches of ideas and detail drawings. The compositions include landscape, figurative, abstract and portraits with all identically framed for cohesive presentation.

Participating artists are Rose Abrahamson, Leslie Baker, Christian Brown, Karen DiMaura, Eva Gallant, John Holladay, Cindy Kane, Doug Kent, Ruth Kirchmeier, Marjorie Mason, Julia Mitchell, Kathy Newman, Antoinette Noble, Adele Schonbrun, Hermine Merel Smith, Jeanne Staples, Elizabeth Taft, Penny Weinstein, Wendy Weldon, Allen Whiting, David Witbeck, Cynthia Wolfson, and Marsha Winsryg.

The Shaw Cramer Gallery, at 56 Main street, Vineyard Haven, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. More information is available by calling 508-696-7323.
