The Martha’s Vineyard Museum is extending its hours of operation this winter.

The museum will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Gale Huntington Research Library will be open Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment.

Winter admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for children 6 to 12.

The museum traditionally operates during the winter on reduced hours as do many seasonal businesses. The staff made the decision to expand the hours as a reflection of the increased level of year-round activity on the Edgartown campus.

The unheated Cooke House will remain closed until the museum returns to its summer hours in June. More information about the winter schedule is available by visiting mvmuseum.org.
