Treehouse Studios in West Tisbury has re-opened in its new location on State Road opposite up-Island Cronig’s and will continue to feature fine art and selected antiques, as well as an assortment of art-related books.

Director Ruth Adams has announced that her new location offers expanded space within the gallery and plentiful off-street parking.

Included in the opening exhibition of art works at Treehouse are seaweed collages by Rose Treat, rooster paintings by Paul Murray, paintings of Nancy Luce by Ruth DeWilde Major and Ruth Adams, and collectible works by past Island artists such as Stanley Murphy, Tom Maley and Virginia Berresford. Also among the new offerings is Ruth Adams’s booklet, Old Bear on Martha’s Vineyard, as well as books by local writers such as Ursula Ferro and others.

Currently open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the gallery will offer expanded hours as the summer season approaches.

Now in its eighth year of operation on the Island, Treehouse Studios moved to its new location last fall from the old “red cat” building further up State Road but was closed throughout the winter.
