West Tisbury police have been kept busy in the past two weeks with calls for a series of incidents ranging from domestic disputes to minor accidents.

On June 12 police responded to a home on State Road where they removed a person from a job site. Christopher McCloud, 41, of Chilmark, was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer.

On June 13 police responded to the scene of an accident on North Road involving a bicycle and a truck and trailer. Injuries were minor and the cause of accident is under investigation.

On June 17 police responded to a call about an erratic motor vehicle operator at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport. The vehicle was stopped on Music street and Karen Bell, 51, of Seekonk, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol (second offense).

On June 21 police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the yard of a private residence in Vineyard Meadow Farms. Donald Percy, 32, of Cataumet, was placed in protective custody and charged with leaving the scene after property damage, malicious destruction of property and possession of burglarious tools (lock picks). Mr. Percy works for a pest control company.
