Disability Services Program

Adds Activity Coordinator

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services is adding an activity and volunteer coordinator position that would address the need for enhanced services to older adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities.

The coordinator will plan and implement social outings and recreational activities for the target population. A pool of qualified volunteers will be recruited and trained to assist on outings.

Funding for the position has been provided from the Cape and Islands United Way, the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation, the Rotary Club of Martha’s Vineyard, and the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center.

Those interested in volunteering for the program, or who have a friend or family member with developmental disabilities that would like to participate, may call Cynthia Robinson at 508-693-7900, extension 338.
