Kenny Lockwood and Red Road are making a rare appearance on the Island at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown, Saturday, August 30, at 8 p.m.

A Vineyard resident for several years and a well-loved performer at Wintertide Coffehouse and other venues, Mr. Lockwood is known for his clear, expressive voice and his songwriting craft. Red Road, his band from New York city, is noted for it’s rich gospel influenced vocal harmonies blended with multi-strand keyboard arrangements which compliment Kenny’s unique finger style guitar. Musical partner and friend Nancy Jephcote will add violin to the band, which will also back her on songs from her soon to be released album Garland of Rain.

Strong Love, Kenny’s most recent album will be available for sale at the concert.

You may purchase tickets in advance from Above Ground Records in Edgartown and Alley’s General Store in West Tisbury or at the door. Cost of admission is $15.
