Martha’s Vineyard Community Radio station WVVY, broadcasting at FM 93.7, has appointed Paul Munafo as station manager. Paul brings experience in many community organizations. He has been an active member in the development of the Vineyard Playhouse where he served on the board for over 12 years; he served as chairman of the Tisbury Cultural Council for over 10 years and is a founding member and performer with the Fabulists theatre for children. He also has been a choir member in a number of Island churches for the past 27 years, most recently the West Tisbury Congregational Church. Paul also joins the board of the nonprofit organization that runs the station. His radio show P.M. in the A.M. airs on Fridays from 7 to 9 a.m.

He replaces Maria Danielson as station manager. Ms. Danielson will remain involved in the station as a disc jockey, board member and assistant to program director Bob Lee. She looks forward to having more time with her family and to writing a biography of Gen. Rufus Saxton.
