Edgartown police last week arrested a third man suspected in a string of recent break-ins.

Stephen Sullivan, 19, of Cat Boat Lane, West Tisbury, was arrested last Thursday and arraigned in Edgartown District Court on Friday. He was charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering, larceny from a building and malicious destruction of property. He was released on personal recognizance.

Last Wednesday, police arrested two other men in connection with the burglaries: Brian Gromoshak, 29, of Oak Bluffs, and Henry Parent, 17, of Edgartown. Mr. Gromoshak recently moved to the Island from Florida, where he has a long criminal history, including several arrests for violent crimes, police said.

Police last week executed a search warrant of Mr. Gromoshak’s vehicle and residence on 230 County Road, Oak Bluffs, and found a number of items believed to be stolen during the break-ins, including several pieces of jewelry.

Edgartown police Sergeant Kenneth Johnson said the investigation is ongoing, and police are still gathering information about what items may have been stolen.
