The Rotary Club of Martha’s Vineyard along with the Boys’ & Girls’ Club, the Island Affordable Housing Fund and the Martha’s Vineyard Museum will host its annual, three-day Martha’s Vineyard Antiques Show. The benefit show kicks off on July 30 with a preview party, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., offering an opportunity to see the many wonderful antiques on display, and to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and lots of good company. The cost is $50, and reservations are strongly recommended; for tickets, call 508-627-6652.

The regular show days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 31 to August 2.

This year’s show will host over 17 dealers from all over the United States and Europe. They will offer a range of beautiful antiques from the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries including furniture, paintings, prints, lighting, jewelry, oriental rugs and more. Dealers will be available all three days to answer questions and explain the rich history of their items.

Also this year, the show will feature booth talks on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, August 1, at 11:30 a.m., Michael James of The Silver Fund, San Francisco, Calif., will speak on the sustained value and popularity of twentieth century silver.

At 12:30 p.m., David Weston of David Weston Antiques, Cranbrook, England, will talk about sailor’s woolies and nautical antiques including scrimshaw.

Then on Sunday, August 2 at 11:30 a.m., Blake Kemper of Solomon Suchard Antiques and Fine Art, Shaker Heights, Ohio, will talk on the contributions of Brittany and Quimper to the evolution of modern art. This will be followed at 12:30 p.m. by Derek Rayment of Derek and Tina Rayment Antiques, Malpas, Cheshire, U.K., who will discuss antique barometers in a modern home.

The show and sale will be at the Edgartown Elementary School on West Tisbury Road.
