The popular children’s musician and PBS Kids cohost of SteveSongs comes to the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs for a free family concert on Thursday, August 13.

Steve Roslonek of SteveSongs is gaining national attention as Mr. Steve, the lovable music teacher on PBS Kids. In his Mr. Steve role, Steve performs original Music Time segments that air daily as part of the Morning Block, alongside top-rated children’s shows such as Clifford and Super Why. Extended versions of these songs are featured in concert, along with favorites from Steve’s five award-winning CDs. Steve’s songs are a unique blend of clever lyrics, educational themes, pure silliness and true musical talent that appeals to kids and parents alike.

The Vineyard holds a special place in Steve Roslonek’s heart — long before he hit the children’s music scene, he sang with The Vineyard Sound for several summers in the early 1990s.

The August 13 show begins at 4 p.m. and is a free outdoor event. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and a picnic supper. An early evening show at the Tabernacle is a comfortable, friendly atmosphere for families to get to know (or get reacquainted with) this delightful children’s artist.
