The American Red Cross, Cape Cod and Islands chapter is organizing a number of CPR, AED and first aid classes this September for residents of Martha’s Vineyard. All classes will be held at the YMCA, 57 Pequot avenue in Oak Bluffs.

Three classes will be held on Sept. 12. The first is infant and child CPR which begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts until 12:30 p.m. The certificate is valid for one year and the cost of the course is $45. Another adult CPR/AED and first aid class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for $60. Finally, an infant and child CPR and first aid class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. First aid certification is valid for three years. CPR certification is valid for one year. The course costs $60.
