Agricultural Grants

The Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society is now seeking applications for their annual grant program from individuals or organizations whose goal is to improve the quality of life and contribute to the sustainability of the Martha’s Vineyard agricultural community and are in need of funding for unique projects or programs. The society gives special consideration to innovative approaches to problems or needs that cannot receive funding through traditional sources. The society does not plan to award grants two years in a row to the same organization.

Island farming individuals or organizations are invited to submit a concise proposal describing their specific project, its potential benefits, budgetary requirements, and the grant amount requests. Proposals must be received by April 7, 2010 and may be sent to: MVAS, P.O. Box 73, West Tisbury, Ma. 02575. For details, call 508-693-4343.
