Are there any guardian angels out there who would love to adopt a beautiful sweet tabby cat, who although she has tested FIV positive, is otherwise healthy and very loving? Her name is Miss Misty and she is spayed, has had all her shots and been thoroughly checked by a veterinarian. For safety sake she needs to be in a home without any other animals and needs to be an indoor cat. Please come and see her — she is a love.

At the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard we also have Debbie, a very young black cat who also is very friendly; Cyrus, a big black huggable cat; Cora, a beautiful gray and white female Persian who is quite shy but would make a loving lap cat for the right person; Moonlight, a tabby who is really friendly and loves to be hugged. All of our adoptable cats are spayed and have had all their shots; all are special and really need homes.

The shelter also has two dogs: P.J., the Staffordshire terrier, and Vito, the brown and white beagle. Both need loving homes soon; although we have some wonderful dog walkers, these dogs need to be in homes where they can get lots more exercise and love.

This coming week is school vacation week and shelter hours are: Thursday, 2:30 to 6 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shelter telephone number is 508-627-8662.
