Myers Brothers Play Che’s

Tonight longtime Island musicians Rob and Dave Myers will reunite for a special concert at Che’s Lounge in Vineyard Haven.

Doors open at 8 p.m.; there is a sliding scale donation for admission.

The two brothers, who performed on the Island together in the early 1990s in the alternative pop punk band the Inskirts, will perform material from their individual catalogues, as well as from their work together.

Rob Myers is a West Tisbury resident and founding member of Kahoots. He has been a programmer on radio station WVVY since its inception. Rob will unveil some of his newest compositions along with material he has written for Kahoots and played in a number of Island venues over the last 15 years. Kahoots recently released their 13th album, We Ride.

Dave Myers, who has lived on and off the Island since 1969, is currently based in Wellfleet. He played in several Island bands, including the Strangemen, Kaustik Deathbed, the Osirians, and the Inskirts. He has made four albums with Charlie Esposito, whose music studios have played a role in many of the recordings made on the Island in the last two decades. Mr. Esposito has also been in Kahoots since their inception in 1995.

Dave will showcase new compositions written during his time in Wellfleet, as well as some compositions from his years on the Vineyard.
