Please Adopt Us

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard has a few nice animals who need good homes.

We have a new dog joining us at the shelter. He has a rather sad story, but I know there will be someone out there who will be kindhearted and fall in love with this sweet little bichon frise named Jackson. Jackson was abused by a young boy as a puppy but luckily a kind couple rescued him and gave him a good home until they both developed some medical issues that forced them to bring Jackson to the animal shelter in hopes of finding him another good home. He joins P.J., the Staffordshire terrier, who has been waiting a long time for a new home.

The cats waiting for their forever homes are Cyrus, the big black lovable boy; little Pearl, the elderly lady who just wants a nice bed to curl up in; Cora, the handsome grey Persian who is really coming out of her shell and loves to play; Miss Misty, the sweet little tabby who is FIV positive and needs to find a home where she can be the only indoor cat. A new cat named Gypsy, who is being spayed this week, is a tortoiseshell / half Siamese 10-month-old kitten. Won’t you please stop by the shelter Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shelter phone number is: 508-627-8662.
