The Pathways Projects Institutes is offering several classes and performances in the coming weeks. Pathways, in seasonal residence at the Chilmark Tavern off State Road, is a gathering space for artists of all mediums and disciplines.

On April 3 from 1 to 4:30 p.m., Pathways will feature a Creative Flow and Mixed Media Journals Class with Sandy Bernat, of Seastone Papers, and Kanta Lipsky, tai chi and yoga instructor. The class will focus on the creative process and enhancing journals with photos, maps, paints and anything else participants wish to bring. Cost for the class is $35.

A Concert of New Music Compositions will take place on April 10 at 8 p.m., featuring performances by Adam Lipsky, Nate Sprague, Angel Russell and Adam Howell. $10 suggested donation. Refreshments. This will be the premiere of Adam Lipsky’s first solo piano CD, Singing Partner. More music follows on April 11, with Piano Innovations with David Stanwood and friends from 1 to 3 p.m. West Tisbury musician and inventor David Stanwood will share improvised music and in the process, demonstrate his new invention, a device which is predicted to revolutionize the world of concert piano. This show is immediately followed by an art opening, Oceans, Forms and Visions I — A Conversation across the Arts and Writings, from 3 to 5 p.m. The opening reception will include readings reflecting upon the oceans of Martha’s Vineyard.
