The lone contest on the ballot in the annual town election in Edgartown this year is for a seat on the planning board. Dudley Levick 3rd and Michael McCourt are both running for a one-year term. The seat was left vacant by Alison Cannon who resigned last year. Mr. McCourt was appointed as an in December.

The election will be held on Thursday, April 15 in the selectmen’s room in the town hall. Polling hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Incumbent selectman Michael Donaroma is running unopposed for a third full term.

Edgartown voters will face eight questions on the ballot for Proposition 2 1/2 overrides. The questions range from the $250,000 purchase of a new ambulance to $300,000 in start-up costs for the new library expansion project’s architecture and engineering plans. Repairs to town roads, bike paths, and sidewalks, and a project to extend the town sewer system to the Island Grove subdivision, carried over from a warrant article approved at a special town meeting in October, also appear as ballot questions.
