Condolences to the family of Betty Honey, who was one of my favorite companions in the Cardiac Rehab Center, where she was always a bright spot in the day. We enjoyed reminiscing about Vineyard life as it once was. Betty is survived by her nieces Sarah Honey Murphy and Betsy Honey MacPherson and their families, and Laura Weigle Honey.

Edward Tip Kenyon and his wife, Kit, were at their Vineyard home over the weekend while here to attend the grand opening of the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Mr. Kenyon is on the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital board of trustees and was delighted with the new hospital. We will look forward to their return soon.

Mike and Margaret Kistner returned to their home in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., on Sunday afternoon after spending the weekend with their nephew Noah James Manning and his parents, Paul and Theresa. The sun came out for them to enjoy most of the Vineyard during their short stay.

Noah James Manning entertained more than a dozen of his friends and their parents on Easter Sunday. A potluck luncheon was enjoyed by one and all in attendance. Lots of chocolate Easter eggs and jelly beans for all.

She was the widow of Alexander “Sandy” Stevenson who learned to swordfish with Captain Walter Manning. The Stevenson family have been longtime summer residents of Aquinnah and Menemsha for the past half century. Barbara enjoyed teaching Shakespeare classes during her summer sojourns. She is survived by her children, Andrew, Kathleen, Malcolm and their families. A memorial service will be held in the family garden at a later date.
