The Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force arrested Hannah Garde, 24, of Vineyard Haven, on new drug charges last Wednesday after executing a search warrant at a home where she was staying on Fisherman’s Knot Road in Edgartown.

Police found drug paraphernalia and two grams of cocaine hidden on her person.

The warrant was issued as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation stemming from neighbor complaints of drug activity at the home at 36 Fisherman’s Knot Road.

Ms. Garde was arraigned in Edgartown district court last week. Judge Joseph I. Macy set bail at $10,000 and ordered her to be held at the Barnstable House of Correction because of a probation violation stemming from a previous arrest.

In February Ms. Garde pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws, stemming from a November 2008 drug raid at the Garde family residence on West Spring street in Vineyard Haven. Ms. Garde was given a nine-month suspended sentenced on each charge, along with two years probation.

When she returned to court yesterday for a pretrial hearing, Judge Lance Garth ordered her held in Barnstable, and kept bail on the new charges at $10,000. She is due back in court on June 18.

Ms. Garde was one of six people arrested during the raid two years ago, which was considered one of the largest heroin busts in Island history.

She has now been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

The task force also arrested Emile M. Rowe, 27, of Hollis, N.Y., who was in the neighborhood operating a vehicle police knew was involved in narcotics distribution. His vehicle was stopped on Whaler’s Walk Road, where he was found to be in possession of six to eight grams of cocaine.

He was charged with intent to distribute, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was arraigned last Thursday, and released on $10,000 cash bail. He is next due in court on June 25.
