Best Supporting Actress

Sixteen-year-old Jessica Carlson, of New York and Chilmark, received the Best Supporting Actress Award last month from the Young Artists Foundation of Studio City, Calif. Jessica’s award was given for her performance in the role of Rebecca in the Universal Studios’ film, The Vampire’s Assistant, shown in theatres nationwide last summer, including Edgartown Cinemas. This was the 31st such award given by the foundation.

Jessica is the daughter of Catha and David Carlson, also of New York andChilmark, and the granddaughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Robert Day of West Tisbury.
