Please Adopt Us

Please be sure to watch this column next week for two very special cats that have just come to the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard to find new homes. They are not quite ready to be adopted yet, but they will be soon, and we are sure they won’t stay at the shelter long!

All of the cats available for adoption have been at the shelter much too long and we are desperately trying to find homes for them. They are all handsome cats and very special, including: Dolly, a black and white tuxedo female; Mantra, an all-black cat whose buddy Sox was adopted a few weeks ago (he’s lonely!); Zephrus, Binx and Walter, also black and very sweet; Dixie, a handsome calico; Phoebe, a lovable orange and white cat; Miss Misty, petite gray tiger; and Cyrus, our house cat who would really love to have a home of his own.

Last but not least is Louise the guinea pig with her own special cage who would be a great pet for some child.

Please stop by the shelter and check out all these wonderful cats — you won’t be disappointed.

The shelter hours are Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.

Volunteers are needed; please call Lisa during shelter hours if you have some time to give.
