Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School history teacher Andrew Berry has been appointed acting assistant principal at the high school, Vineyard schools superintendent Dr. James H. Weiss said yesterday.

Mr. Berry will replace former assistant principal Carlin Hart, who was recently appointed principal of the Oak Bluffs School. Mr. Berry also taught at the Oak Bluffs School before becoming a history teacher at the high school. According to Mr. Weiss, Mr. Berry has a long history in education, and formerly worked as an administrator at a private school off-Island.
