Let’s Move Martha’s Vineyard has done some moving of its own this week, after a three-day northeaster cancelled most outdoor events from Monday through Wednesday. The kickoff event has been rescheduled for tomorrow in Oak Bluffs. Organizer Erin Bayer Santos said most of the activities will stay the same as before with a few schedule shifts and additions.

“We’ve acquired excellent local talent for the last few hours of our event,” said Mrs. Santos — local musicians including Brad Tucker, Willy Mason, Kate Taylor and others will perform on Saturday.

Let’s Move will feature a variety of demonstrations on healthy living and exercise. Not into running — how about hula-hooping or dance? Maybe you’re a gym rat but don’t really know how to structure your workout, or love to kayak but are looking to do something more land-based.

The Let’s Move campaign is a national endeavor founded by first lady Michelle Obama to curb childhood obesity through a shift into healthy, active lifestyles. The Vineyard kickoff coincides with the first family’s vacation to the Vineyard, and organizers have invited them to the event.

The kickoff will host a Little League all-star game, a demonstration with a Hawaiian outrigger canoe, a tennis match between high school students and Oak Bluffs town officials, circuit training, water aerobics and more. Activities will take place at Veira Park, Inkwell Beach, Waban Park and Niantic Park from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
