Please Adopt Us

The cat population at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is holding steady — come take a look! Cats available for adoption are: Binx, an indoor black cat with long, white whiskers; Phoebe, another indoor ginger and white who gets along well with other cats; Dolly, a feisty but sweet black cat; Gracie, a truly sweet, long-haired gray kitty who loves to sit in the window and watch what is going on outside; Bebe, an indoor-outdoor calico who gets along well with other cats; Hezzy, a handsome beige, big boy who looks like a lion and is quite shy but slowly coming around; Chester, a gray and white, very affectionate indoor-outdoor cat; Stella, a small, quite young (about six months), unusual blue-gray, short-haired.cat; and Callie, a black, long-haired cat who is about a year old. We have nine darling little kittens who are still too young to be adopted but if you are looking for a kitten, please come in and put your name on our kitten wish list.

We still have two guinea pigs — Mocha and Piggy Sue — who are really lovable and come with their own cage. Our one dog is Rascal, a big, good-hearted fellow who is part Lab, part American bulldog, black and brown. He loves to go on walks.

If you have any free time to volunteer, we are really in need of people who can come in to feed the cats and clean cages and take Rascal for a walk.
