The artists and craftsmen living at Island Elderly Housing, Inc. (IEH) will be holding a show of their work on Oct. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. This is the third annual show featuring the work of the residents and has become a “must do” event on Columbus Day Weekend.

There will be a wide variety of work including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, needlepoint, books and more. There will also be an opportunity to participate in IEH’s “Free Hugs Campaign.” This is part of an international movement to make the world a little more friendly.

Some of the artists and craftsmen displaying their work are well-known on the Island and beyond. Others will be participating in their first show. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet the artists and craftsmen to discuss their work. Some works will be offered for sale. The show is open to the Vineyard community.

The show will be held in the Community Room of Woodside Village 2, the entrance to which is opposite the MV Regional High School. For more information, please call 508-693-5880 extension 12.
