Grants Awarded

The Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard has awarded $15,000 in grants to five Island organizations this spring. The grants will support stipends for teens participating in the Farm Institute’s summer program on sustainable agriculture, provide initial funding for a writing lab for middle school students at the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School, contribute to the Vineyard Conservation Society’s campaign to promote good environmental stewardship, support a training program in the use of equipment for the benefit of children with sensory processing disorder offered by the Martha’s Vineyard Community Services’ disability services, and offer a matching grant to upgrade Habitat for Humanity’s computer system.
