Art and Commerce Unite

Every once in awhile even an artist must stop and smell the numbers. Business acumen and self-promotion are essential in getting one’s work out into the public eye. But how to go about this, especially when the day is short and the bulk of it should be spent on the art of creation?

On Monday, April 11 from 6 to 8 p.m., Featherstone Center for the Arts and Vineyard Voice are hosting a panel to discuss the hows and whys of getting savvy with the numbers, advertising and social media.

The panelists include Nancy Shaw Cramer, owner of Shaw Cramer Gallery, Elizabeth Whelan, artist, businesswoman and designer of brands and marketing campaigns, Jennifer McCurdy, world-renowned ceramicist and Patrick Phillips, an online and video-based art-community builder.

The fee is $10 and preregistration is requested as space is limited.
