Horseshoe Crabs Get Busy

Everything you wanted to know about horseshoe crabs but were afraid to ask, in particular their mating habits, will be revealed at the Chilmark Library on Wednesday, April 13 at 5:30 p.m.

The event is hosted by Susie Bowman, Felix Neck teacher/naturalist and coordinator of the Island’s spawning horseshoe crab surveys, and Fred Hotchkiss, director of the Marine Paleobiological Research Institute. The talk will also shed light on how these ancient marine creatures play essential roles in both the natural world and modern medicine.
