Summer stress driving you crazy? Admit it, vacationing isn’t always the mellow ride you envisioned. Trying to pack 365 days of fun into one weekend can even make you think better about coworkers and cubicles left behind.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Instead of jamming up on a super quadruple iced caffeine jolt with the most sugary, sugar bun chaser so you can go, go, go, why not try a bit of yoga with an emphasis on meditation instead? There’s an expert on Island and she’s teaching at the Yoga Barn on Sunday, July 3 from 8 to 10 a.m.

Nikki Costello usually teaches her downdogs in New York city at Kula Yoga. But for one day she’ll be helping us Island folk rediscover what we truly love about ourselves, humanity and what life can be without any agenda.

Ms. Costello has studied with Sharon Gannon, David Life, John Friend, Kevin Gardiner and Mary Dunn. In 1997 she became a student of the Siddha Yoga Path and for the next eight years taught exclusively for the SYDA Foundation as a Siddha yoga and meditation teacher.

The cost for the class is $22. For more details, visit marthas-vineyard-yoga-barn.com.
