For the third year in a row, the boys’ varsity basketball team will hang an Eastern Athletic Conference championship banner in the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School gym.

The Vineyarders defeated Bishop Stang 61-47 in an away game Tuesday, finishing league play with a 7-1 record. They are 14-1 overall, with five games left in the regular season. The team’s only loss came at the hands of Bishop Feehan on Jan. 7.

“I think it’s a testament to how hard the kids have been working,” head coach Mike Joyce told the Gazette.
