St. Patrick’s Parade

Forget about Boston and its river of green, Edgartown is the place to be for St. Patrick’s day.

The first ever St. Patrick’s parade begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The route is from Dock street to the Kelley House.

The Newes of America Pub located at the Kelley House will host events and serve Irish food all weekend long starting with Irish music with Sean Brennan tonight from 8 to 11 p.m. On Saturday, after the parade, The Newes will serve tradition dishes such as Irish stew, corned beef and cabbage, and shepherd’s pie. There will be an open mic limerick contest on Saturday both at 3 and 9:30 p.m. and music by Good Night Louise from 8 to 11 p.m.
