Next Friday, April 6, you are going to Boston or be prepared to hear the stories of how you missed the night everyone had their mind blown by being the first to experience a live show of DCLA’s new CD at the Hard Rock Cafe.

There will be no excuses, no whining, no saying it’s a drag to travel off-Island if you don’t have a car.

The boys in the band have arranged for a bus to take Islanders to the show and return them the next day, more or less in one piece.

The bus leaves at 5:45 p.m. on April 6 from the Woods Hole ferry parking lot and returns from South Station at 2 p.m. the next day. The cost for both the bus and tickets to the show is $30. Boat tickets are on you.

For tickets email info@dclamusic.com.

For those who really can’t make it off-Island there will be a three-peat CD release party on Thursday, April 5 at the Pit Stop in Oak Bluffs. In addition to DCLA, Alex Karalekas and Joe Keenan are releasing new music.

Mr. Keenan’s new CD is called Whirl and Twirl.

“I generally play my own tunes,” he said, “which often reflect my time at sea where I have served as chief cook on a number of tall ships ... this is my first solo work and the emphasis was to record the guitar as cleanly as possible, my guitar was made on the Island by Gregg Harcourt, and it is a beauty.”

Doors open at 8 p.m. The cost is $5 or free for members of the Pit Stop.
