Applications for the South Shore Community Action Council’s fuel assistance program for the 2012 season must be received by April 30.

Anyone with a utility shutoff notice or impending utility shutoff notice is urged to contact the office by April 30. Awards may be used retroactively by those unable to afford their utility bills for the 2012 season, said Lisa Spencer, director of energy programs and planning for the council. Anyone who did not receive an application in the mail and feels that they may qualify is encouraged to apply. The last day for fuel deliveries is also April 30.

Applicants under 60 years of age may fill out applications by scheduling an appointment with Susan Von Steiger, Mondays-Thursday at the Oak Bluffs Council on Aging at 508-693-4509.
