Little Murders Everywhere? No, it’s not a warning about the demise of the Island, nor a message meant to scare. It’s the title of a new poetry collection by Rebecca Morgan Frank, who will read some of her work at the West Tisbury Library on Tuesday, June 5.

Ms. Frank will be joined by West Tisbury poet laureate Justen Ahren at the 5 p.m. reading, which is free and open to the public, with refreshments served.

The pair have quite the poetic pedigree. Ms. Frank’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Ploughshares, Guernica, Crazyhorse, The Georgia Review and Best New Poets anthology of 2008. Mr. Ahren’s work has appeared most recently in Fulcrum and Borderlands, Texas Poetry Review. He is co-director of the Summer Festival of Poetry on Martha’s Vineyard and founder and director of The Martha’s Vineyard Writers Residency.
