All the dogs at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard have been adopted with the exception of Popi, the big, beautiful greyhound who has gone back to his original owner temporarily until he can find a home. Popi was depressed being in a cage and developed some dental and health problems. The shelter is still accepting donations for the Popi fund to help pay for his medical bills. Send checks to the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard , P.O. Box 1829, Edgartown MA 02539, with a notation on the check that it is for the Popi fund.

Cats available for adoption are Daisy, an indoor, light gray tortoiseshell who needs a home desperately; Mittens, a handsome, energetic orange and white kitten, just nine months old; China, a beautiful gray female Persian; Rex, a senior tuxedo who would make a wonderful pet for a senior cat lover; and Wally, a darling black kitten, five months old, who is now being neutered and will be ready for adoption next Thursday.
