The Long Point 5 rocks the music of Scott Joplin, Argentine tangos, the big band sound of Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton, George Gershwin, Stephen Foster, even Bach and Debussy.

And who, you may ask, is so talented to be able to play such a wide mix of music? The quintet is composed of Jim Athearn (trombone), John Schilling (trumpet), Julie Schilling (clarinet), Bud Larson (flute and arranger) and Jeri Larson (keyboard).

The concert takes place on Sunday, Oct. 14, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Hebrew Center on Centre street in Vineyard Haven.
