Appraisal Day returns to the Martha’s Vineyard Museum on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Three experts from Skinner, Inc., one of the world’s leading auction houses, will be on hand to evaluate everything from furniture to jewelry to calligraphy and everything in between. So check your closets, attics, the backyard, too.

This year the museum is encouraging the public to bring any Chinese, Korean, Indian and Japanese artwork and antiques in as Asian art specialist Judith Dowling will be on hand to evaluate such items.

Reservations are required for all appraisals and each individual is allowed to bring up to three items for evaluation. Appraisals are $15 for one item or $40 for three items. To make a reservation, call Jessica Barker at the museum, 508-627-4441, extension 117 or email jbarker@mvmuseum.org.
