IMP is headed to Chicago. The Island improv troupe has just been named an official selection of the 2013 Chicago Improv Festival. The festival is one the biggest in the country and IMP is the only teen troupe to receive this honor. They perform April 1 to 7, so get your Windy City tickets now.

If traveling to Chicago is not an option or you can’t wait another month, fear not, because IMP is holding court this weekend at both the Katharine Cornell Theatre and Alex’s Place at the YMCA.

On Saturday, March 9, IMP will give a performance at the Katharine Cornell Theatre at 11 a.m. The show is for ages two and older and costs $5. From 1 to 4 p.m. they will conduct a play date workshop for ages six to sixteen. The cost for the workshop is $30 in advance and $40 at the door. At 8 p.m. there will be a PG-13 performance. The cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

On Sunday Imp performs at the Y beginning at 7 p.m. The show is for eight and older and tickets are $8 at the door.
