On Wednesday, March 13, it is time to get salty. Beginning at 5 p.m. the Chilmark library is screening the documentary Salt of the Sea, followed by a discussion with the filmmaker Tom Garber.

Mr. Garber has created 11 documentaries that have aired on PBS and The Discovery Channel. His subjects have included surf-sailors in North Shore Maui, blind boat-builders, tugboat captains, and in Salt of the Sea commercial fishermen. For his work, Mr. Garber has received an Emmy nomination, a Bronze Telly, a Silver and Platinum REMI, and gold medals from the Charleston and Houston International Film Festivals.
