Edible Vineyard, a quarterly magazine that celebrates the Island’s food scene, and the Vineyard Gazette Media Group have entered into a sales and marketing agreement, their publishers announced this week.

Effective immediately the Gazette media group sales team will sell advertising in Edible Vineyard, on its website, ediblevineyard.com, and in its annual Food Guide alongside the Gazette’s portfolio of high-quality publications. The Gazette media group includes the Vineyard Gazette newspaper, Martha’s Vineyard Magazine, Welcome to Martha’s Vineyard travel guides and mvgazette.com.

Sam Berlow, publisher of Edible Vineyard, and Jane Seagrave, publisher of the Vineyard Gazette, said in a joint statement that the exclusive arrangement offers benefits to both companies.

“This partnership simplifies the process of buying ads for our customers,” Mr. Berlow said. “The Gazette is a high-quality, high-integrity company. Having them represent us was a win, win and win; for Edible Vineyard, the Gazette and our customers.”

Ms. Seagrave said: “We’ve long admired Edible Vineyard, which shares many of our values — beautiful design and photography, lively writing and a commitment to the Island community. Representing the magazine to business owners and other vendors trying to reach a discriminating audience is a perfect extension of what we already do.”

Edible Vineyard was founded in 2009 by Mr. Berlow and his wife, Ali Berlow. Published four times each year, the magazine focuses on the food that is grown, caught, cooked and eaten in the Island community. Edible Vineyard is a member of Edible Communities, a network of similar magazines around the country.

Edible Vineyard is available free of charge at multiple locations on the Island and by subscription off-Island.

In addition to the magazine, Edible Vineyard maintains a website at ediblevineyard.com, an active Facebook page and publishes an annual Food Guide that provides a comprehensive listing of food stores, farms and restaurants Islandwide.
