On Sunday, July 14, Robert Allan Hill, dean of Marsh Chapel and a professor of New Testament and Pastoral Theology at Boston University, will be the guest preacher at the Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs.

Mr. Hill’s religious leadership at Boston University encompasses all of the 17 schools and colleges and the larger community, and is rooted in the historic pulpit of Marsh Chapel, whose Sunday service is broadcast on NPR each Sunday morning at 11 a.m.

This Sunday’s sermon is entitled The Sermon on the Mound.

Mr. Hill is the author of 10 books, and since 1981 he has taught in several schools including McGill University, Syracuse University, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, Northeastern Seminary and various church settings. He has just completed a book on John entitled The Courageous Gospel: John in Sermon, Lecture, Essay and Discussion.

Union Chapel is located at the end of Circuit avenue in Oak Bluffs. Service begins at 10 a.m. with an organ prelude at 9:40 a.m.
