A small fleet of Optimist sailboats negotiate the swimming buoys in front of the Chappaquiddick Beach Club. Deep blue skies in the afternoon. Pretty sunset.
Sunday, July 28: Rain overnight. Last rain drops fall at 7 a.m. Partly cloudy morning. Periods of bright sunshine. Moments when clouds thicken. A thick fog bank hangs south of the Vineyard in the afternoon. Mostly sunny afternoon. The smell of fresh cooked beef on the grill in Vineyard Haven.
