Fair weather for the agricultural society fair. West Tisbury is bustling with activity. All roads lead to the fair. Many of those dirt roads are dusty. Draft horse pull draws a big crowd. Oak Bluffs fills up with visitors in the late afternoon for a night of fireworks. The sky is clear. A pretty sunset is the opener for the fireworks.

Sunny. Sailing in the afternoon. Light breeze picks up in the afternoon.

Sunday, August 18:

Partly sunny in morning. Increasing clouds. Skies darken over the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown, where the president is spending his last day golfing. Light drizzle. Temperature in the mid 70s. Rain shower in early evening, in time for the president’s departure from the Martha’s Vineyard airport. Downtown Edgartown is damp and the roads have puddles. Pedestrians fill the street, some carry umbrellas, others brave the rain.

Monday, August 19:

Skies are partly sunny. Clouds increase in the afternoon. Light westerly breeze.

Tuesday, August 20:

Sunny in the morning. Fishing boats return to Menemsha in the late morning after an early morning pursuing fluke. Light southwest wind. Bell buoy rings in Menemsha Bight. Speed boats approach the harbor channel moving fast. A large orange full moon rises over Lagoon Pond in Vineyard Haven. The moon lights the hazy sky overhead. Only a few stars are visible.

Wednesday, August 21:

A calm hazy morning in Edgartown Harbor, where the harbor waters are flat calm, a few small wavelets are created by passing dinghy. The forecast is for southwest wind.

Thursday, August 22:

The National Weather Service forecasts a sunny morning. Increasing clouds with a chance of a thunderstorm late in the day.
