The Vineyard varsity boys’ soccer team closed out the regular season in similar fashion to the way they started it — by shutting out a challenging opponent.

And with the 3-0 defeat of Dennis-Yarmouth on Wednesday, the team also sealed an undefeated record. The Vineyarders are 15-0-2 on the season, and a perfect 8-0-0 in the Eastern Athletic Conference.

The team has not allowed a goal since Oct. 8, and the formidable defense has allowed just four goals all season. Head coach Damon Burke also underscored the Vineyard offense, noting that they have not trailed an opponent at all this season.
