Katherine Kitson Lolley and William Bradley Hawkins were married on Sept. 7 in a garden ceremony at Atria Restaurant in Edgartown. Katherine is the daughter of John and Sarah Lolley of Oak Bluffs. William (Brad) is the son of William and Rebecca Hawkins of Ocean Springs, Miss. Barbara Whitkop of Skowhegan, Me., aunt of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

Katherine (Kate) is a 2001 graduate of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and a 2005 graduate of Simmons College in Boston. She earned her master’s degree in global health at Tulane University in New Orleans in 2010. She is currently a health policy consultant to the Suriname Ministry of Health in Suriname, South America.

Brad is a graduate of Ocean Springs High School and holds degrees from both the University of Mississippi and Tulane University. Upon receiving his Ph.D. from Tulane’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2012, Brad was named by the U.S. State Department as the 2012-2013 Fulbright Scholar to Suriname. During that time he lectured and managed the University of Suriname’s Master of Public Health program. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Tulane and is based in Suriname, South America.
