My Sharona had a Heart of Glass that shattered when she discovered she was Born to Run and no amount of Shadow Dancing down at the YMCA could change a thing. She tried to Turn the Beat Around at the Car Wash but then some Macho Man collapsed her Stairway to Heaven after a way too long Ladies Night.

It looked bad. Despair sunk in. She decided to take the Midnight Train to Georgia where she rented a small Brick House. Turned out her neighbor was a Black Magic Woman who moonlighted as an engineer on the Love Train.

Knock on Wood, the future began to look a bit brighter, but still something was missing. Then from out of nowhere on the phone it was London Calling telling her to head back north to Dreamland in Oak Bluffs on Saturday, Nov. 16, for the Martha’s Vineyard Charter School’s 70s-style benefit dance party. Dinner, live and silent auctions (James Taylor tickets anyone?) and dancing. Could this be the missing piece of the puzzle? My Sharona thought so and is getting ready to Rock and Roll All Night.

Party starts at 7 p.m. (adults only) and rolls until 11:30 p.m. Admission is $15 with proceeds going to build an addition to the school. Call 508-693-9900 for info.

But really, what more needs to be said? The Dancing Queen is in the house and Tonight’s the Night.
