On Saturday evening, the Minnesinger parent group hosted its first annual mid-winter ball and gala at the Harbor View Hotel. The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School Minnesingers and their director Janis Wightman wish to thank the parents and all the volunteers for their many hours of time and tireless efforts and to express appreciation to the Island community for its continued generosity in attending the gala and for contributing silent and live auction items.

Special thanks for the generous support from the Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank charitable fund. The Minnesingers had the great experience of performing Toto’s Africa and Sweet Honey in the Rocks We Are with Jerry Bennett’s The Sultans of Swing, who had the crowd on the dance floor throughout the evening. Thanks to Jerry and to former Minnesinger Joanne Cassidy and the energetic and entertaining band members. And to the Harbor View Hotel for the elegant venue and food, and accommodating staff, Suzanne Wesley and Krishana Collins from Tea Lane Farm for the sparkling décor, auctioneer Trader Fred Mascolo, and Matthew Regan for poster and advertising design.
